Business and vocational school in a joint project
Outstanding students from “Ivan Hadzhienov” Vocational School – Kazanlak visited the international WASSER BERLIN Exhibition under a project of Stroitelna Mehanizatsia AD.
The international water exhibition WASSER BERLIN and the NO-DIG Exhibition, which presents the innovations in trenchless technologies, were held jointly in the capital of Germany from 24th to 27th March. Over 600 exhibitors from 36 countries and over 31 000 visitors had the opportunity to get acquainted with the innovations in the water sector, infrastructure construction and trenchless technologies.
For the third time in a row the Bulgarian Water Association (BWA), the Bulgarian Association for Trenchless Technologies (BATT) and Stroitelna Mehanizatsia AD, Kazanlak, a member of both associations, took part in the event. The company presented to the international visitors the equipment for trenchless rehabilitation of pipelines, which it manufactures. Among the visitors of the prestigious event was the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works, Ms. Lilyana Pavlova, who visited the Bulgarian stands and expressed her satisfaction with the Bulgarian representation at the exhibition. She also met the students from “Ivan Hadzhienov” Vocational School, Kazanlak, whose participation in the event was financed by Stroitelna Mehanizatsia AD under a project for development of the technical knowledge of students. The students who visited the event are Emiliya Arsova from 11th grade, speciality “CNC Machines”, Hristo Uzunchev from 9th grade, speciality “Building and Architecture” and Yordan Stoyanov from 9th grade, speciality “Mechatronics”, accompanied by Daniel Iliev, who conducts the “Young Designer” club at the school.
Until then, the students hadn’t visited a specialized technical exhibition. They defined their participation in the international event as a useful experience, because they had the opporunity to see for themselves the latest machines, equipment and materials and to talk to leading specialists in the sector from all over the world.
In her address to the visitors of the event, Minister Pavlova underlined that the new achievements exhibited at that prestigious forum could assist us in optimizing the processes, decreasing the costs and increasing the quality of the investment in the water sector, as well as combining the economic efficiency with the environmental protection when using the so called trenchless technologies.
